    ボストン出身のスワーリーズは90年代初めのＵＫバンドが優位を占めるインディ・ロック・シーンの中でがんばっている数少ないアメリカのバンドの中から90年代初頭にその頭角を現した。ノイズの上に浮遊するヴォーカルにローファイな実験的要素を加え、甘いポップな瞬間を散りばめた彼ら独自のサウンドを、きっとインディ・ファンは今から50年後もため息と共に聞くことだろう。彼らの強みはドラムのループ、シンセサイザー、ムーグ、メロトロンに加えて、家の中で音が鳴るものならなんでも取り入れるところにある。幾度のメンバー交代を乗り越え、彼らは最近DJスプーキーと一緒にリミックス・アルバムをリリースしたばかりである。
