アップルズ・イン・ステレオは、初期ウエスト・コースト・ポップに強く影響されたアナログ色を基軸に、現代のインディー・ロックとサイケデリック・サウンド、また、ボブ・ムーグその人でさえもビビるほどにマイナーなデュオフォニック・サウンドを融合させる。リスナーはアップルズ・イン・ステレオが宇宙人だということを心から信じている。彼らの、この世のものとは思えないような曲や音を作りあげるために必要とされる大量の元ネタ・レコードとアナログ機材は、この惑星に存在するどんなオタクであろうと、またソイツがいかに裕福であったとしても、一生のうちに到底揃えることができないほどの量であると思われるからだ。
