    James Gangジェイムス・ギャング

    70年代前半に活動したアメリカのハード・ロック・バンド。初代ギタリストはジョー・ウォルシュ、３代目はトミー・ボーリン、と有能な人材を配しながらいまひとつメジャーになり切れなかったのは、やはり他のメンバーの力量ゆえか？　アメリカ人らしいイージー・ゴーイングでアッパーなロック・サウンドは大陸的なおおらかさに富んだもので、ブギーな押しで突き進むスタイルも微笑ましいほどに陽気なのだが、バンドとして強力なカラーを打ち出すには至らなかった。
    74年に解散。その後、再編成されたという情報もある。　（小池清彦）
